L'Oreal primer vs Revlon primer.

About a year ago I went out to the shops hunting for a primer that would be good for oily skin. After looking around a bit, I was recommended the L'Oreal Infallible primer. The lady in the shop told me that it is a great primer and will be just fine on oily skin.

L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Base

Before using this one, I was using the Benefit Pore fessional ( I think that's what it's called). It was good but I didn't want to spend £24 on primer especially when I feel like the pot isn't very big anyway. So I went out looking for a new one and found this. Honestly I love it. I recommend it to everyone I speak to. I smoothens your skin and leaves it feeling soft and ready for your makeup. It does a great job at holding all your makeup in place too. I use it over my eyes and lips too, which helps keep my eye shadow and lipstick in place. It's also good on oily skin!

Revlon Photo Ready Prime + Anti-shine Balm

Once I had finished my L'Oreal primer, I decided to give a different one a try. Even though I love my L'Oreal one, I hadn't really experimented with any other products so I felt like I needed to try others before deciding which one was my favorite. So I looked around and found this one. It had really good reviews so I decided to give it a try.
I used it for a week before giving in and going back to my L'Oreal one. It was okay but not as good! I felt like my skin was always oily and my makeup patchy. Maybe it's better for people with drier skin, I don't know.

Even though I have gone back to my L'Oreal primer, I am still looking for new primers to try. So if you recommend any, let me know in the comments. Also let me know if you have tried these products and what you thought.

New blog post every Wednesday and Sunday at 7pm.

  1. My favourite primer at the moment is definitely the Soap & Glory 'One Heck of a Blot' primer, I've really noticed a difference on how well my make up stays on since I started using it!
